August TBR & Read-a-thons!

Highly impossible August TBR.

I will start by saying that I start college on August; yes, my first year in a new city living all alone. I expect to go out and get to know my new home but knowing me I'll probably stay in my room reading so here is a incrediously big TBR to have lots of options!

(Also I have to catch up with my diverse bingo and 52bookATW but shhhh)

I want to continue reading the "Series of Unfortunate Events" so I'll be picking "The Ersatz Elevator", next up I want to read some book to movie adaptations so I'll be re-reading "Wonder" and "Before I Fall"; and if I have time I want to finish reading "Library of Souls" and my "re-read" of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets lol.

Oooooh and I almost forgot with all this "changing lifestyles" I want to finally read "Almost Adulting" by the beautiful Arden Rose <3.

Read-a-thons.
  • Duodecathon. From August 1 to 7.
Duodecathon is now a classic for me soooo; my link about my post for it: TBR.

  • Tome Topple. From August 4 to 17.
Tome Topple is possibly my fave readathon and it's about reading books that are 500+ pages! Usually in this readathons I continue reading the "A Song of Ice and Fire" sooo probably I'll pick "A Storm of Swords"

Also it has reading challenges but idk if I'll complete them:
  1. Read more than one tome: Maaaaaybe I'll pick "The Sculptor
  2. Read a graphic novel: the sculptor (;
  3. Read a tome that's part of a series.
  4. Buddy read a tome.
  5. Read an adult novel.
So as you can see, if I can read ASoS and The Sculptor I will complete all the challenges!

  • Read-A-Thin. All throughout August.
It's a readathon that focuses on reading books you already own; you're encourage to at least pick 6 challenges (you can do 2 challenges max per book). I will pick a book for each challenge just so I have lots of options and at the end of the month I'll check which one I actually completed!
  1. Read a 2017 release: When Dimple Met Rishi
  2. Read a book that is the same (or similar) color as your birthstone: Daughter of the Burning City (Amethyst).
  3. Read a diverse book: Queens of Geek
  4. Read a book with a title or author with the same first letter as the first letter in your first name: The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon... hello i'm nubia.
  5. Read a book that is related to your favorite emoji: my fave emoji is the heart so I guess I can pick Queens of Geek again <3.
  6. Read a book starting with a letter from TBR: Roar
  7. Read a book with a summer themed cover: i don't really know...right now
  8. Read a book with a warm colored cover: The Sun Is Also a Star (x2)
  9. Start and finish a series: Welp, I'll try with HP but I don't promise nothing
  10. Read a book in 24 hours.
  11. Read a new to you author: Arden Rose.
  12. Book with water on the cover: Given to the Sea
  13. Read a book set in summer: When Dimple Met Rishi
  14. Buddy read a book.
  15. Read a book recommended to you by someone in the book community.
  16. Read a guilty pleasure read: Checkmate.
  17. Read an adult/new adult book: Checkmate (again lol)
  18. Read a book outside of your favorite genre: Lambs Can  Always Become Lions

  • Tweetathon. From the 7 to 13.
Is a readathon all about twitter (as you may guess). Here are the challenges:
  1. Blue on the cover: Wonder
  2. Verified Author: Almost Adulting by @ardenrose
  3. On TBR for over 1YR: A Storm of Swords
  4. Guilty Pleasure: Checkmate.
  5. Uses mixed media: i don't know...

Soooo that's all for now folks; fingers crossed for me to actually read at least two of all this books
