June TBR!

June TBR.

Well hello there! Here are the books I'm hoping to read in June, I made my TBR a bit short (5 books) as I'm feeling a slump coming but don't want to stop reading so I had a variety of books to see which would be better.

Series Summer.
During summer Jacqueline @ Jbooklover in booktube is doing a kind of read-a-thon, basically is just to read some series during the summer, it's called #SeriesSummer. Here are some of the challenges I'll be attempting to complete:

  1. Read popular series that you have never read before: Throne of Glass
  2. Read unpopular or underrated series: The Ersatz Elevator
  3. Read a series that you have had on your TBR shelf for over a year: Any of the mention ones lol
  4. Read a series in which the final book just came out or will be coming out Summer 2017: -
  5. Reread a Series: Harry Potter
  6. Read a Duology: - 
  7. Read a series that you started but never completed: The Mark of Athena


Read-a-thons.

So as I mentioned earlier there are some readathons I want to take part of in June:

  • Emojiathon. All throughout June. 

Emojiathon is a month-long read-a-thon where you try to complete for challenges based on emojis. My TBR for this read-a-thon is basically the same but here I'll be listing the emojis as well:

  1. For 👬 (two boys holding) I'll be reading Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda (also I'll be buddy-reading this so it counts for 👯)
  2. My 😍 will be When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon.
  3. The "read under 24hrs" book will be The Ersatz Elevator.
  4. Throne of Glass will have this emoji: 😒
  5. The Hate  U Give will be my baby emoji 👶
  6. Harry Potter will go to the 😊
  7. The Mark of Athena doesn't take place in México so 🛫(Airplane emoji hehe).
  8. La triste historia de tu cuerpo sobre el mío would be 🤓
  9. Anya's Ghost will be my freebie! 📚


  • A Year-a-thon. From June 5 to June 11.
A Year-a-thon it's a series of readathons that happen throughout the year, each one with a theme. This month's theme is: Catch up/Finish series; also they have a challenge wich is: Read a book with a character your age.

For this I'll be reading Throne of Glass (here the main character has my age) and also Harry Potter.

  • 24hour Read-a-thon. June 11.
Here you are encourage to read as much as you can! So there's no especific TBR, just reading!

  • Readorama. From June 11 to June 17.
Readorama is also a series of readathons throughout the year; here are the challenges for this month:
  1. Read a book with RAMA in the title and/ot author's name: Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas.
  2. Read a book with water on the cover: The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan.
  3. Read a short book: La triste historia de tu cuerpo sobre el mío by Marwan.
  4. Read a graphic novel: Anya's Ghost by Vera  Brosgol.
  5. Read a book you've been anticipating: When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon.
  6. Read an own voice book: The Hate  U Give (yassss!)
  7. Read 7 books.

  • Duodecathon. From June 24 to the 30.

New Year, New Me!!! (lol)

Hi guys! Happy New Year! I know it sounds cliché but yeah, this year I want to change, so here I'll write my new resolutions, both personal and book-related, just so I have them somewhere to be a reminder. Personal resolutions🌟 Put yourself FIRST Don't care about what other think Learn to love youself (mess and all) Recognize when you are wrong, admit it Grow up, be the adult you are, take responsibility Stop giving false hope/lying so much Love girls; UNDERSTAND them Stop dedicating song to useless people STOP being comfortable in your depression Stop blaming others and yourself Take car of youself Stop judging other so much and accept yourself Stop being so stubborn Stop spreading lies, accept you don't know everything (and that's okay) Don't take bullshit from nobody, even if they're family Reading Goals🌟 Re-read Harry Potter Buy a book only when I've read five before Complete the "Around the Year in 52 Books" ...

April (not so cool) Wrap up!

So for April I had planned to read a lot of books but sadly that wasn't the case, so here is my mini wrap up for this month! I participated in #AYearAThon where the theme was "Classics", so I started reading "Lolita" but stopped about 100 pages in; the story was really boring and making me a bit uncomfortable so maybe I'll pick it up later. From April 7 to the 20th Tome Topple happened, for this readthon I finally finished "A Clash of Kings" by George R. R. Martin. I gave it 3 out of 5 starts (full review here). Also I started reading "Throne of Glass", I'm about 300 pages in! Other books I picked up this month were: Juliet takes a Breath, The Couple Next Door and Zac & Mia; I haven't finished any of those!  So here is for a better month to come!
