Update!

So I finally finished my volunteering but the result of those amazing and busy weeks was that I didn't read a single thing; so before I leave for college I'm planning on finishing my current reads, which are: Queens of Geek and When Dimple Met Rishi. Just wanted to do a quick update because I've been so inactive lol

Julyyy TBR

Welp, another month; in July I'll volunteering in an event during the 14 to the 24th, so I hope to get some reading but I don't expect to read more than 4 books or so; so without further to do here are the books I'll be prioritizing during this month: First, I want to continue the "Heroes of Olympus" series by Rick Riordan , so I'll be picking up "The House of Hades" . Next, I'll be participating in a book club ( RBM )  where we'll read " Queens of Geek " by Jen Wilde. I'll read " The Ersatz Elevator " by Lemony Snicket. And the final book I'll be prioritizing is " The  Hate U Give " by Angie Thomas ; I need to actually read this book now! Now for the books I want to read but I don't think I'll actually do it (lol), here they are: I want to read " Library of Souls " by Ransom Riggs , so I can finally know how this serie ends; also this completes one of the challenges for ...

The Melody of You and Me Review!!

Imagen
The Melody of You and Me by M. Hollis My rating: 3.75 of 5 stars wElp, idk... I really wanted to love this book but it was just enjoyable not amazing. "The Melody of You and Me"  it's the story of Chris, who just left university and broke up with her 3 year long girlfriend so her life is a bit of a mess right now. The story begins when she meets Josie, a new co-worker in her bookstore and from there it develpos into a fluffy contemporary.  I really loved the representation in this book; we have a pansexual MC in a f/f relation! <3 The thing I had with this is that it was soooo insta-lovy like, wow, Chris and Josie fall in love so quick that I found it kind of unreal, at the end every problem in Chris' life were resolved and that was a bit off for me. The writing was also a bit of a struggle for me bUT the way the author explores some topics like masturbation or not knowing what to do when picking a major, etc. was sO PERFECT! I could a 100% relate t...

Throne of Glass Review!

Imagen
Trono de cristal by Sarah J. Maas My rating: 2 of 5 stars Time for the unpopular opinion: I did not like this book... don't get me wrong, I didn't hate it but wow, I do not think it deserves the hype that it has. Well, Throne of Glass is the story of Celaena Sardothien, the greatest killer in Endovier, who goes to a competition to be the next royal assassin, in return she'll gain her freedom. Celaena is a character who is described as very good in what she does but I feel that througout the book all our characters do is describe her as perfect, in my opinion this makes her less relatable and you don't engage as well with the story. Apart from this I think the other characters Sarah J. Maas developes are great! (pls protect Chaol i love him so much, thank u). Now, the story for me was too slow, so much that I put a "hold" on this book for about a month and only now I'm finishing it. I think the story is dragged for so long that we coul...

June TBR!

June TBR. Well hello there! Here are the books I'm hoping to read in June, I made my TBR a bit short (5 books) as I'm feeling a slump coming but don't want to stop reading so I had a variety of books to see which would be better. Series Summer. During summer Jacqueline @ Jbooklover in booktube is doing a kind of read-a-thon, basically is just to read some series during the summer, it's called #SeriesSummer . Here are some of the challenges I'll be attempting to complete: Read popular series that you have never read before:  Throne of Glass Read unpopular or underrated series:  The Ersatz Elevator Read a series that you have had on your TBR shelf for over a year: Any of the mention ones lol Read a series in which the final book just came out or will be coming out Summer 2017: - Reread a Series:  Harry Potter Read a Duology: -  Read a series that you started but never completed:  The Mark of Athena Read-a-thons. So as I ...

OMG it's MAY Wrap up!

Imagen
Hey guys! I know I've been very abscent this days but I'm finally back with my May Wrap Up. So May was a great month compared to April tbh, I read 5 books this month. So let's start: The first book I read was "The Miserable Mill" by Lemony Snicket, which it's the fourth book in "A series of Unfortunate Events". I really enjoyed this book, I gave it 4 out of 5 stars; I think here we get a kind of different theme from the previous books and I really enjoyed the story. After that, I finished "Symptoms of Being Human" by Jeff Garvin, which I gave 3 out of 5 stars, and don't get me wrong, I really liked this book, I found it really educational and a fast pace read but I did have trouble reading it, I think it took about a month for me to pick it up again. When I finished SoBH I started "Illuminae" by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff which I gave 5 out of 5 stars, I absolutely loooooveeed this book, I think the forma...

#AtoZreadathon TBR

So I would add this TBR to my May TBR but it would be an endless post so instead I'll be writting it here and linking it up there! #AtoZreadathon is a read-a-thon with 3 sets of difficulties; the first one (and most difficult) is where you read 26 books for the 26 letters of the alphabets only taking the title. The medium level (and the one I'll be attempting to complete) is where you can use a book for several letters as long as you "touch" all of the letters in the alphabet but, again, only counting the titles, and the easiest level is where you count the title and the author of the book! So withouth further to do here is my TBR: A,B: The Art of Being Human  by Lisa Williamson C,D,N: The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena E,M: El método 15/33 by Shannon Kirk  F: Fuera de mí by Sharon. M. Draper G,S: Given to the Sea by Mindy McGinnis H,O: Historia del futuro según Glory O'Brien by A. S. King I: Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff J...
